What is nuclear energy

I had no idea, but nuclear energy has to do with atoms splitting apart.Nuclear energy is the energy inside the nucleus of an atom(Atoms are tiny particles that make up everything in the universe). There is a huge amount of energy that holds atoms together making an enormous amount of energy when they are combined together this is called fusion. The sun uses fusion to produce energy.
